What is First Saturday? It can be difficult to donate food during the week when ECCO is open. First Saturday offers a three hour window for people to donate food on the weekend.

What's a wellness pantry? Glad you asked! A wellness pantry is very similar to a food bank, but also gives out items that most food banks don't carry such as: hygiene products, diapers, feminine products, etc.

This service project is from 9am - 12 pm on Saturdays.
We currently send a team on the 2nd Saturday of every month, but you can serve any Saturday by registering here!
Tinker Tuesdays is an opportunity to serve alongside Hope to Home in their warehouse and help refurbish and clean donation items! This opportunity provides a second wind to donated items before they are delivered to their next home.

Volunteers will serve alongside the Charleston Seafarers by serving at the ministry trailer at the port. Volunteers help individuals get connected to the internet, have conversation with ship's crews, and provide guidance toward the shuttle. This opportunity is dependent on the port schedule, and may not be consistent.
Who are these Sailors and what do they need? The sailors are crew members of the cargo vessels that visit our port. They usually come from places like India and South East Asia. These sailors are typically at sea for months on end with inconsistent internet access. The Ministry Center provides sailors with a chance to rest on dry land and call home.
Who are the Charleston Seafarers? The Charleston Seafarers is a non-profit ministry that works throughout the world at ports just like ours! They serve the sailors aboard the cargo vessels that visit our port to offload and onload cargo!
