Next Steps Director (FT – 40 hours/week)
The Next Steps Director is responsible for strategically moving individuals (both guests & members) toward engagement in church ministries and membership. The Next Steps Director serves as a member of the Adult Discipleship team, with Next Steps being the “front door” of discipleship ministries at LifePark.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Build and maintain a healthy membership process (45%)
- Facilitate and oversee the membership class, LifePark Connect
- Collaborate in the creation of class materials
- Connect all potential members to elders and/or pastors for membership interviews and a one-year shepherding process.
- Communicate with elders for quarterly follow-up with all new members who have not connected through groups or serving for up to one year (Shepherding process)
- Create new member fellowship events to promote connection and engagement at least quarterly.
Connecting LifeParkers to taking their next step (30%)
- Develop, oversee, implement and refine a system and process for guests, attenders and members to explore their next steps.
- i.e. membership, baptism, joining a LifeGroup, serving in a ministry area, requests for prayer and/or care, etc.
- Ensure guests, attenders and members navigate through the connecting process by ensuring ministry leaders follow up in a designated time frame.
- Establish one-on-one meetings with LifeParkers as needed to help them take their next step and build relationships at LifePark.
- Train staff on using workflows to ensure ministry connections.
Member engagement (15%)
- Identify and follow up with LifePark members who aren’t participating in a LifeGroup or serving in a ministry area, etc.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the church database (Planning Center), working collaboratively with staff to ensure excellent stewardship of LifePark’s members and participants.
Additional responsibilities (10%)
- Manage the development and oversight of the annual Next Steps ministry budget to align with ministry goals.
- Communicate pertinent information to staff and volunteers in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrates a growing, vibrant, and mature relationship with Christ.
- Possesses a friendly, upbeat and warm personality for welcoming guests and members.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized and administratively gifted.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; team-player attitude.
The Next Steps Director reports to the Associate Pastor of Discipleship.
Must be willing to work Sundays and some holidays (Christmas Eve, Easter, etc).
