Care & Prayer Ministry Coordinator


(FT) 40 hours/week


The Care & Prayer Ministry Coordinator will report to the Associate Pastor of Care and provide administrative assistance to the Associate Pastor of Care and the Prayer Director. This includes seeking to identify the care and prayer needs of the congregation and those in our community and supporting ministries that meet those needs.


This individual will model and assist in equipping others to fulfill the Church at LifePark’s mission of living life to the full through knowing Christ, growing in relationships, and sharing the gospel.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


a. Care and Counseling: Provide support and encouragement to individuals and families facing challenges. Deliver specialized care to address the diverse needs within the congregation. This encompasses a range of situations, including funerals, family difficulties, spiritual crises, and periods of loss. Additionally, facilitate and lead educational classes and groups to foster community and personal growth.
10 hours per week of direct care.


b. Care Administration: Oversee and sustain existing programs, actively engage in the recruitment and training of volunteers and develop care resources. Act as the primary contact between the organization and the Refuge Ministry. Execute the vision outlined by the Associate Pastor of Care and establish and nurture connections with community care providers. Coordinate efforts to manage visits to those homebound or in the hospital, serving as the key coordinator for all aspects of care delivery.
15 hours per week of care admin.


c. Prayer Administration: Provide administrative support to the Prayer Director for the monthly Community Prayer Service (CPS) and weekly noon prayer services in addition to support for all other aspects of the prayer ministry to include but not limited to: schedule building doors to be unlocked for services, set up CPS signs, oversee the administration of prayer requests for distribution at CPS, maintain the online prayer wall and the physical prayer wall. Assist with executing tasks that carry out the strategic vision set forth by leadership and the Prayer Director. 15 hours per week of prayer admin.

● Undergraduate or graduate degree in Biblical Studies, Biblical Counseling preferred
● Strong biblical knowledge and worldview
● Denomination: Southern Baptist preferred or conservative evangelical background
● Spiritual Gifts and Passions: administration, encouragement, and shepherding
