The Production Director at The Church at LifePark will support the vision and mission of The Church at LifePark by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the worship ministry in regards to technical production, AVL (audio, visual, lighting) management, and production team leadership in order to ensure that services and events are able to utilize technology efficiently, effectively, and strategically in order to enhance the experience of those attending. The PD must manage and maintain a high degree of quality in the execution of sound, video, lighting, and tempo of weekly services. Ownership is key in this role, as is empowering others in order to build teams for our future needs as a two-venue campus.

The Production Director is responsible for:

A. Strategic Planning Support and Implementation: Develop and implement the vision and strategic initiatives of production within the realm of the creative arts ministry’s philosophy of worship; Oversee selection, installation, and implementation of technology for a two-venue campus; Build and maintain reliable systems and set standards for technical service execution
B. Provide Technical (AVL) Support and Leadership for Weekly Services and Events: Maintain a reliable system for providing technical support for weekly services and events, initiate successful communication with pastors, creative arts ministry team leaders and event coordinators in order to facilitate AVL needs to ensure that every service and event is vibrant, distraction-free, and technically well supported;
C. Prepare Excellent Worship Experiences and Special Programs: Oversee all technical-related aspects in the execution of the service plan for all weekly services and special events and assist as needed in service planning. The PD reviews Planning Center service plans, ensures all production elements are noted and communicated clearly to necessary team members, ensures smooth transitions between service elements, serves as technical director on weekends, and then facilitates rehearsals in tandem with the Worship Leader; Oversee implementation and coordination of services live across multiple venues.
D. Overseeing and Empowering the Production Team: Recruit, train, develop and empower dynamic production technicians and volunteers and assign tasks consistent with the vision of the ministry and gifts of the team member;
E. Spiritual Leadership and Coaching: Set the spiritual tone for the production team. Team members must be spiritually prepared in addition to technically prepared for their role in worship. All team members will be required to take an attitude of ownership and responsibility, which must first be demonstrated by the Production Director. Positive, humble, cooperative and willing attitudes are imperative;
F. Communication and Scheduling: Communicate important information to your supervisor, production team members, and volunteers in a professional and timely manner; Establish and maintain a schedule for audio, video, lighting and general production technicians for all services and special programs, across venues;
G. Video Production Team Creation and Management: Create and manage a video production team for Sunday morning services, weekly message capture and editing, and video storytelling as needed for Sunday morning services and LifePark ministry purposes.
H. AVL System, Stage, and Equipment Management: Maintain, purchase, and coordinate installation for all production related equipment in accordance with the creative arts budget; remain proficient on production equipment, and oversee stage sets and designs;
I. Additional Responsibilities: Work with your supervisor to collaborate on other ministry plans as needed.
The Production Director reports to the Worship Leader/Music Director for The Church at LifePark.

Education and Skill Requirements:

• Exhibits a growing, vibrant, and mature relationship with Jesus
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; team player attitude
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years experience in a related field, preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage and effectively lead paid or volunteer teams
• Demonstrated acumen toward technology, problem-solving, systems development, and knowledge of a live production environment
• Proven competency in church or related ministry leadership, balancing production and creativity within church culture, context, and relationships
Anticipated Time Commitments:
• 40 hours per week
• Must be willing to work some evenings, holidays, and Sunday mornings
