Social Media Resident


Part Time – 20 hrs/week

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Communications Team at The Church at LifePark is seeking a self-motivated Social Media Resident. We are looking for an individual, who thinks strategically, strives for excellence, loves to create content, communicates effectively, is inspired with creativity, and has a heart to draw people to Jesus and His Church via online platforms.

The Social Media Resident will have the following personal profile:

  • Strong passion and gifting for content development.  
  • Experience in photography and videography.
  • Experience creating promotional content.  
  • Interest in continuously developing his/her craft.  
  • Stays abreast of current trends.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.  
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, tasks, and priorities simultaneously.  
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • Highly adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment.  

WORK SCHEDULE

  • This is a 6-month resident program.
  • Work schedule is varied; Usually Tuesday – Thursday, Sunday. Can work with your class schedule.
  • Some flexibility is required as needs are varied. Weekdays are varied based around ministry needs and meetings but expect to work two to three days per week and Sundays for a total of around 20 hours/week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate with the Communications Director to:

  • Research current trends
  • Capture videos and photos
  • Create, edit, schedule, and share daily social media content
  • Manage comments & messages
  • Review analytics and make recommendations for successful online engagement and continuous platform growth
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and ideation of topics for church creative content
  • Suggest other ways to engage the online community

REQUIRED BACKGROUND, SKILLS, & EDUCATION 

  • Agrees and aligns with the vison and values of The Church at LifePark.
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field or work experience equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, photography, photo editing software, graphic design software.
