LOCAL OUTREACH
Making disciples through knowing Christ, growing in relationships, and sharing the Gospel. Sharing the Gospel is expressed through the proclamation of God’s Kingdom and working for measurable change among the lost and oppressed. LifePark Evangelism and Mission is committed to living out the purpose for which God has uniquely gifted and called each one of us as witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus in all the world.
HOPE TO HOME
Hope to Home shares the love of Christ through helping people in crisis. This is accomplished by providing basic furniture and household items to people that find themselves in crisis situations. Donations are made by members of our church & community. We use these donations to assist those in need in the Charleston area. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles from delivering furniture to spending quality time in conversation and prayer with the families we’re serving. You will be working outside and moving furniture during your service opportunity. Please ensure that you are comfortably dressed, and bring a water bottle! You will be required to fill out a release of liability prior to your first service date.
WINDWOOD FARMS
Therapeutic residential non-profit home for young boys who need special attention, love, and therapy due to abuse or other family issues. Windwood Farms provides help, hope, and healing through behavioral, educational, and therapeutic interventions which enhance social functioning and well-being, ensures safety, and works to achieve positive permanency for children and families in our community. Volunteers are required to fill out a confidentiality agreement and wavier of liability prior to serving on site.
SEAFARERS MINISTRY
The Charleston Port and Seafarer’s Society is a Christian Charity Organization, which exists for the purpose of welcoming and serving the needs of those men and women who make their livelihood in the port or at sea, without regard for nationality, race, ethnicity, politics, or religion. This organization has been around for almost 200 years. Each year, more than 65,000 seafarers arrive on hundreds of vessels to the Charleston Port.
SCHOOLS
The Good News Bible Club is an after school, once a week club that is led in a few of the elementary schools in the area. The purpose of the Good News Club is to share God’s love with boys and girls and establish them in the local church. It is a fun and exciting time that gives a clear presentation of the gospel to kids. This is a great opportunity to jump in and help as many hands are needed from coordinating snacks to being a disciple leader. There is a place for those who want to volunteer (volunteers serve on Wednesdays after school from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. No preparation is required, just come as you are and love on the kids each week).
EAST COOPER COMMUNITY OUTREACH (ECCO)
ECCO hopes to reduce the burden an individual or family is experiencing due to life’s unforeseen challenges, which may be caused by illness or disability, job loss, or changes to a family’s make-up by providing assistance with food, healthcare, and financial assistance.
EAST COOPER MEALS ON WHEELS
East Cooper Meals on Wheels delivers daily nutrition to residents within our service area who are homebound or unable to provide their own meals. We also advocate on behalf of recipients whose needs exceed the scope of our program. We desire that our homebound neighbors live a well nourished life with independence and dignity. We serve nutritious meals to all homebound residents east of the Cooper, regardless of age or income. You will have to apply to be a volunteer and go through a background check prior to serving. East Cooper Meals on Wheels is responsible for communicating background check and volunteer status to you.
FEED THE HUNGRY
Did you know … Hundreds of homeless (or marginally homeless people) will go without a hot meal today. As Christians, Jesus has called us to help the “least of these.” (Matthew 25:40). The Church at Lifepark has partnered with several churches around the Charleston Area to help meet the hunger needs of our local homeless population by providing free meals, a bible study, and an opportunity to form a relationship.
LOWCOUNTRY PREGNANCY CENTER
Lowcountry Pregnancy Center has served the Charleston area in over 118,000 client visits. The reason we are so trusted by women and families is simple: we truly care about you. LPC is a perfect outreach opportunity in North Charleston for LifeGroups who have a passion for the sanctity of human life and caring for women who need support through their pregnancy and the early months of having a new baby.
Fresh start visions
Fresh Start Visions is a prison ministry that starts the work of discipleship and rehabilitation inside the prison and continues it through a residential mentorship after release. They work to develop their God-given gifts and talents to benefit themselves and the society around them. LifePark provides volunteers for workdays, discipleship groups, and welcome/graduation events.
