NOAH’S PARK CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: 05.24.2019
When you arrive for service this Sunday, you will notice that our Summer renovations are underway in our existing facility. This construction, which is part of the campuswide Making Room for More campaign, will require some minor adjustments to our Noah’s Park check-in process.
Here are a couple helpful hints for preschool parents:
- Look for the “Noah’s Park Check In” signs located in the lobby outside the entrance to Noah’s Park
- To keep traffic minimal in this highly congested area, we would appreciate just one parent to drop off and pick up
We are so excited to watch the growth and would like to thank you all for helping make this transition smooth so that we can provide our families with the best experience during the construction phase. Our greatest desire is to make Sunday’s as comfortable and familiar for our children.
One final note: The church continues to be operational throughout the week and is open during our regular business hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday).
LIFEPARK CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: 05.15.2019
The Church at LifePark will begin renovation of its current facility on Monday, May 20. The remodeling will include improvements to Noah’s Park, the Worship Center and the kitchen area (first floor) and The Pier and common area leading to KidsPark (second floor). The work on our current building, which is part of LifePark’s campus-wide Making Room for More campaign, is expected to be completed by mid to late August.
MINISTRY AND CHURCH IMPACT
The church will remain operational on weekends for Sunday worship services and for some scheduled events. Our offices will remain open through the week, but weekday ministry events on campus will be limited.
The planned renovation schedule will impact weekday ministry activities as well as summer LifeGroups that normally gather at the church. While we encourage you to continue your regular group meetings, we will be asking groups to arrange for an alternate location during this season. This will enable our construction crews to work more freely and finish their remodeling projects in time.
While this new “relaxed” summer schedule will limit the normal volume of events at LifePark, it will also create an opportunity for our church family to use the time to renew and prepare for an exciting new experience coming this fall.
Our new 18,000 square-foot facility (and parking expansion) will create a spacious and inviting atmosphere for both our first-time guests and our current members and will expand LifePark’s worship service capacity from approximately 1,500 to 2,400 across our campus on Sunday mornings. Thanks to your generosity and support, the Making Room for More campaign which began last September, will create:
- More places to connect and grow
- More room for the NextGen to come and hear the gospel
- More space for students to make meaningful connections with caring adults
- More capacity for truth-telling
- More life-changing relationships
- More baptism celebrations
- More hope and healing
- More lives transformed for eternity
If you have additional questions, please contact The Church at LifePark during regular business hours, Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or visit the Connection Center during any of our regular Sunday services.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Some areas of the current LifePark building will undergo upgrades in preparation for the fall. Work is slated for the worship center, kitchen area, Noah’s Park, and upstairs surround the Pier and common areas. In addition, construction and installation of our new facility, located behind Noah’s Park, will continue throughout the summer months.
Remodeling to the current LifePark building will begin on Monday, May 20 and is expected to continue for 10 weeks. This construction will result in limited space throughout the week, but we will be operational for weekend services.
Yes. We are excited for you to see the additional space that will be created when our new building is complete and additional remodeling features to our current space are concluded. The environment will create new opportunities to welcome children and youth, foster their growth, cultivate relationships, and help them live out their faith daily.
More specifically, Noah’s Park will increase in capacity so each age group will have two classrooms to learn and worship together in smaller groups. The construction will also allow KidsPark to expand into a larger space covering the entire second floor of the main building. This will allow our talented volunteers to create more personalized programming to enhance, engage and build relationships with the next generation.
FirstWave will be in the new building. Our youth will have ample space for gatherings and dedicated spaces to break into small groups to gather, learn, grow, and connect.
Yes. LifeGroups are encouraged to continue throughout the summer, however, any group that hosts a group at the church will need to make alternate plans during this season. If you are planning to continue your LifeGroup over the summer, we would ask that you move into a home, coffee shop, or restaurant during this time. Moving our groups off campus will enable our construction crews to work more freely and finish their remodeling projects on time, while leaving LifePark safe and operational for weekend services throughout the summer.
The renovations will not impact our Summer 2019 VBS schedule (June 24-27). If your child is registered for VBS, no changes are expected. We will be halting renovation work during that week to allow for a successful VBS at LifePark. For more information or to register for VBS, visit churchatlifepark.org/kidspark.
