LIFE TO THE FULL CONFERENCE BEARS FRUIT

It almost been one month since the Life to the Full – Freedom in Christ Conference at LifePark. Since then, we’ve heard of several wonderful stories of God setting people free from lies that kept them from experiencing the freedom that God desires for us to have.

This week, I’d like to share with you two stories similar to those I have been hearing as a result of the conference, even though the persons in these stories found freedom prior to the conference. The purpose of this is to serve as a simple reminder that God really does set people free with the truth.

Here is the second story:

I grew up in a crazy, abusive, alcoholic home.  Being the oldest child I fell in to the responsible role and always tried to do my best to be recognized and valued.  I was the “good” son in the parable of the prodigal son (and equally prideful and judgmental).  Unfortunately, I felt that love was conditional, based-on performance, and only knew how to try and earn love.  I had no idea how to give love.  After becoming a Christian I knew God was supposed to love me and “died for me” but that didn’t break the stronghold of feeling I had to keep trying to be good to deserve it, now I was just trying to be a good Christian.

The Freedom in Christ ministry has helped me truly understand how much God loves, me, unconditionally and fully.  Now, having received love I am more able to share that love with others, and my effectiveness as a husband and father is much improved.  It is very freeing to be able to actually live out the greatest commandment, love God and love others as yourself. Mt 22: 36-40

Neil Anderson wrote, “When what we think reflects the truth, what we feel will reflect reality.”

In this story, we’ve learned that when this person believed that God loved them fully and unconditionally in Christ, it was all the motivation they needed to begin to break free from lies and live a fruitful life. The truth of God frees us to be who He created us to be.

Where do you feel stuck? Is it guilt or shame? Is it anger or apathy? Is it fear or anxiety?

Let the words of Christ give you peace as you pursue Him:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. — Matthew 11:28-29

Just as He has been faithful to free so many others, He can free you as well.
