DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING

The Church at LifePark will host a day of Prayer and Fasting on Wednesday, January 30. The church will open at 6 a.m. and will remain open to 5 p.m. for you to come and pray.

The church encourages you to pray and fast during this day-long event. A fast is when you choose to withhold something from yourself such as food, or TV or something else for the purpose of praying for a spiritual breakthrough.

“All throughout the scriptures, we are taught to fast and pray,” said Chad Moore, senior pastor at The Church at LifePark. “In fact, Jesus says ‘when you fast’ in Matthew 6:16-18, qualifying it as a regular rhythm for Christ followers. Fasting is a Christian’s voluntary abstinence. When you feel the need for or desire for whatever you choose to fast from, instead of meeting that desire, you abstain and use that moment as an opportunity to talk with God.”

What and how can you pray?

LifePark will have prayer guides available at the Connection Center on Sunday. You can pick up your copy before or after service. In addition, prayer guides will be available at our praying stations when you arrive on Wednesday.

If you can not make it to the church on Wednesday, we encourage you to pray and fast remotely from your location.
