Next Steps Director 

Full-Time (40 hours/week)

The Next Steps Director is responsible for strategically moving individuals toward getting connected and taking their next step, overseeing follow up, and all other areas of assimilation whether a first-time guest or a member.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

a. Develop, oversee, implement and refine a system and process for guests, attenders and members to explore their next steps. i.e. membership, baptism, joining a LifeGroup, serving in a ministry area, scheduling inner-healing prayer, etc.
b. Collaborate in the creation of materials and the planning of a hospitable Sunday morning environment which allows next steps to be taken with ease.
c. Guide first-time guests, attenders and members through the connecting process ensuring ministry leaders follow up in a timely manner.
d. Serve as a liaison between guests/members and ministry leaders.
e. Recruit, train, develop and schedule volunteers/elders on call with the purpose of connecting, ensuring positions are covered for each service every Sunday.
f. Oversee weekly Connection Card intake and follow up.
g. Facilitate and oversee the LifePark Connect class.
h. Serve as liaison between all potential new members, elders (presiding and non-presiding) and/or pastors in connecting them with potential new members for Elder/Pastoral conversations and up to one year of shepherding.
i. Communicate with elders for quarterly follow up with all new members who have not connected through groups or serving for up to one year (Shepherding process).
j. Create new member fellowship events to promote connection and engagement.
k. Provide weekly administrative support to the Adult Discipleship and Prayer ministries.
l. Additional responsibilities: – Mange the development and oversight of the annual Next Steps ministry budget to align with ministry goals. – Establish regular one-on-one meetings with volunteers in order to build relationships with volunteer leaders. – Communicate pertinent information to staff and volunteers in a timely manner.
m. Other duties as assigned.

The Next Steps Director reports to the Associate Pastor, Discipleship.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS: ● Demonstrates a growing, vibrant, and mature relationship with Christ. ● Possesses a friendly, upbeat and warm personality for welcoming guests and members. ● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. ● Highly organized and administratively gifted. ● Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; team-player attitude.

Must be willing to work Sundays and some holidays (Christmas Eve, Easter, etc).
